"The International" is returning yet another year. Valve's annual Dota 2 tournament will be held in Seattle on August 7th, a few weeks before PAX Prime.

No prize pool has been announced on Dota 2's official website, but the winning team at last year's tourney took home $1 million.

So far, the only invited team is last year's winner: Invictus Gaming. Three teams will be invited based on East and West qualifying brackets, beginning May 13th. To brush up on your Dota skills, you could check out these guides. But, we have a feeling it might be a bit too late to get really competitive. Good luck.

Man, that Mac-10 shootout in the Guggenheim was awesome! The sound effects were as good as, if not better than, the ones in Heat and Collateral.
Oh, you're not talking about the Clive Owen corporate espionage movie?

Thank god it's not the same weekend as PAX again. Downtown was absolutely packed last year. Here's hoping it isn't super hard to get tickets again.

A million bucks is a good amount of money, but that's split 5 ways don't forget.

Even still, that IS $250k... But then taxes and convert it to Euros since most teams aren't American? Not nearly as much as it sounds :(

Since majority teams finishing top 3 are Chinese, it's definitely more than 250K in their currency, BRO!
