Toddler horror Among the Sleep dreams up Kickstarter

Babies are so stupid. They're tiny little idiots who think the world ends if you cover their eyes and are scared of almost everything. They're rubbish. But imagine you were one of these miniature fools in, fleeing unreal terrors in your onesie. That's unpleasant. Among the Sleep wants to do that to you, if you'll help crowd-fund it.

Babies are so stupid. They're tiny little idiots who think the world ends if you cover their eyes and are scared of almost everything. They're rubbish. But imagine you were one of these miniature fools, fleeing from unreal terrors in your onesie. That's unpleasant. Among the Sleep wants to do that to you, if you'll help crowd-fund it.

Among the Sleep sees a two-year-old child trapped in a dreamy half-real world. You'll roam, romp, solve the odd puzzle, and flee. Stupid baby, it doesn't even know the monster stalking it isn't real. Or is it? I don't know, because I haven't played it. Who's the stupid baby now, Alice?

Developer Krillbite Studio revealed the horror game last May, but last week turned to Kickstarter for funding to finish it up. The dev team would like $200,000 so they can afford to quit their part-time jobs and focus on the game, aiming to bring it to PC, Mac and Linux by the end of 2013.

Pledging at least $20 will get you a copy of the game when it's finished.

That's a really unique story concept, in a time where those are few and far between. When it gets finished it could be one of those surprise hits.

A horror game for 2 year olds? How many toddlers can even use a mouse, let alone a keyboard? Geez.

That title bugs the hell out of me. It makes no sense, not even figuratively.

Patrick played this on Giant Bomb last week, and it looked really interesting. Out of the three "scary" games he played it was the only one I thought that did anything new and clever.

Oh man, was that the third one on Spooking with Scoops? The video kept fucking up so I didn't get past DreadOut. Let's see if it's fixed!

Yeah he did that before going back to Slender. It was cool watching him figure out the mechanics of playing as a toddler versus the "normal" stuff in most games.

I was hoping you'd get to murder babies by the thousands and bathe in their blood.. but I guess this looks pretty good too

      Looks interesting.

On a side note, you play parts of Siren: Blood Curse as a little 5 yr. old girl and it's terrifying!
