Celebrate StarCraft's 15th birthday with retro portraits for SC2

StarCraft turns 15 today and, to celebrate the big day, Blizzard will hand out special retro portraits to StarCraft II players. The faces from the original game's box art, once so fiercesome and stunningly realistic but now a bit goofy and so plainly CG, can grace your SC profile if you play at least one online game in the next few weeks.

StarCraft turns 15 today and, to celebrate the big day, Blizzard will hand out special retro portraits to StarCraft II players. The faces from the original game's box art, once so fearsome and stunningly realistic but now a bit goofy and so plainly CG, can grace your SC profile if you play at least one online game in the next few weeks.

The three classic icons will be unlocked for anyone who earns the 15th anniversary Feat of Strength achievement, simply by finishing one single game online from todayup until 11:59pm PDT on April 17, Blizzard explains in a blog post.

The round can Arcade, Custom, Ranked, Training, Unranked, Versus A.I., whatever, you just need to finish it. Then you too can look too cool for school, because oh mercy I was in school when StarCraft came out I remember it I was so young, so sweet, so naïve.

March 31, 1998. Where has all the time gone? Our skeletons will escape soon.

Just did a quick 5 min game against a very easy AI to get this. Made 6 marines and attack moved in to the base.

Why not just play a ladder game? Unranked/Ranked 1v1 is what the game is built for. Can't understand anyone purchasing it just for the single player element.

I mean, there are far better single player RTS titles out there.

I suck at MP in pretty much EVERY rts game so I tend to not play multi.

After a while I just get tired of hearing how every 12 year old has fucked my mom.

But I like the story so I keep buying them.

          Thanks mom...

^ also can't understand the obsession with people "doing it wrong" if they play it how they want to and have fun. Remember when games were like that?

I don't really have enough want to redownload, install, and play a game I haven't played since the first two weeks of release.

        Still cool though.

Why do you want to fix Alice's grammar, people? Just respect at her in English. No one is perfect in the world.
