Resident Evil: Revelations getting console release, leaked achievements reveal

Yet another Resident Evil game is set to hit the HD consoles, a new list of leaked achievements reveal: 3DS' Resident Evil: Retribution

Yet another Resident Evil game is set to hit the HD consoles, a new list of leaked achievements reveal. According to X3A.org, Resident Evil: Revelations is coming to Xbox 360.

Revelations originally released on 3DS last year, promising to combine the behind-the-shoulder gameplay of modern Resident Evil games with the more methodical pacing of classic entries in the franchise. Capcom's experiment was largely successful, with our own review pointing out that "when it sticks to horror, few survival horror games feel better than Resident Evil Revelations," even if the game is "inconsistent."

Given the title's slate of 50 achievements and 1000 Gamerscore, it appears Revelations will be a full retail release when it lands on Xbox 360. And while a PS3 list of trophies has yet to be discovered, it seems likely the game will also hit that platform. The original 3DS title was developed on Capcom's multi-platform MT Framework engine, which should make porting the game rather easy.

An HD re-release of Revelations was one of the games mentioned in a Capcom survey released late last year, giving hope that other games mentioned can also have hope at finding release.

Can more than one person play and save on this game?

I think that was mercenaries that had this "feature"

2 save files for campaign but only one for the co-op raid mode (which is super fun). I'm guessing that will be changed for the console release.

Game is super fun, really enjoyed playing it last year. Hope more people go out and buy it because I'd love to have another resident evil in this style with Raid mode.

Argh. I plan to pick up a 3DS XL in the coming months, so what to do: buy the game on its native platform, or hope it hits PS3 as well?

Having played it, I'd say wait for the ps3 release. It's a good game but you'd gain more playing it in HD on your big screen at home than you would lose. It's another console style game on a handheld that I would rather play on the big screen at home.

Thanks for the feedback. I think my platform choice will depend on the extra content and price of the console versions. Porting a handheld game to consoles and charging more than $30 for it would feel like a ripoff, especially since Revelations is almost a year old.

The only thing I can say from play the 3DS demo is that it has the best 3D I've seen so far on the handheld. They have an in game option to increase the depth even beyond what the 3D slider gives you. Really brings the world to life.

That, and the return to survival-horror atmosphere and gameplay, is why I want to play on the 3DS. If Capcom just dumps a port on consoles, it might be fun, but it was made for the 3DS, so I feel like I should play it on that.

I'm actually curious to know if Capcom will launch this on Vita too.

I think it would be a great title to be on the Vita and I think it sold quite well on the 3DS, I played a bit and it's really well suited for a portable platform. And Vita needs this stuff.

Awesome! Yet, another reason NOT to buy a 3DS.
