The US bundle is identical to the one released in Japan: a "Cobalt Blue" system that has a special insignia on it. According to the packaging, the bundle includes a copy of the game pre-installed on the system--meaning you won't be able to trade the game back to GameStop once you're done.

Unfortunately, it appears the system will be available as an original 3DS only, and won't come in the XL variant. No price has been announced, but previous bundles have launched for either the same price as the base model ($170), or at a slight premium ($200).

Good on them for bringing it over, but somehow, I don't see this being highly sought after in North America.

Why would they not release this with the XL version? Dumb move.

I have a regular Onyx 3DS and if this bundle had the XL, I would've upgraded.

If it was an XL I'd have been all over it! (Don't have a 3DS yet - It's always nice to get something 'different')

I think you're fooling yourself if you think these won't sell.
