Is it possible to get a US pre-paid credit card that you can load money on to from outside the US (for example load money onto it via PayPal)?

I live in the UK and it's depressing to see some of these deals that I can't take advantage of. A lot of the good offers are on Amazon, but Amazon.co.uk doesn't offer game downloads. If you try to buy from Amazon.com it says something like "this item isn't available in your region".

Besides, a lot of digital games are the same price in US dollars as they are in pounds sterling ($20 = £20) so you could also save a lot of money with a US card.

I've never bought off amazon.com but apparently all you need is a US billing address. Rock, paper, shotgun posts weekly on amazon deals and the comments always have someone from the UK doing this.

Thanks, I'll have to look into this.

I assume you can't just enter any random address. I'll have a search around and see if I can find what other people are doing.

Absolutely. It's super fun and it's got a great little soundtrack.

Also, I suggest buying it directly from the developer's site www.ftlgame.com since you get the Steam code version and DRM-free installers for PC/Mac/Linux (It uses the Humble Bundle store so if you've bought a bundle from them you know how they let you download the game)
