All signs we've seen from Platinum Games' Anarchy Reigns indicate that it's a big ol' ball of crazy. So it makes a strange kind of insular sense that the game would include a cameo from Platinum's last prominent example of gonzo game design: Bayonetta. The sexy-librarian witch has been outed for an appearance in the game.
The latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang) reports that the character will be offered as a pre-order bonus in Japan. No announcement has been made for the character in the US, but it would make sense to offer the same bonus. If they can just add Jack, Sam Gideon, and Raiden, we'll have a full set.
Platinum recently delayed Anarchy Reigns to July, saying they needed time to make it 'larger.' At the time we thought this meant bigger fights, but now we're just assuming they had to find some space to fit all that hair.
Steve Watts posted a new article, Bayonetta cameos in Anarchy Reigns.
Bayonetta is appearing in Anarchy Reigns as a pre-order bonus in Japan, Famitsu has revealed.
Hey, second-to-last example; you forgot Vanquish (but then that game was a bit less bizarre than Bayonetta).
It's odd that it's a pre-order bonus in Japan, considering how many Japanese consoles don't connect to PSN or XBox Live, according to a Famitsu survey publicized today. I myself am in that camp, with a PS3 that last connected anonymously for updates in December 2011, and a 360 4GB that has never tasted the Internet. Are those users left out of this?
