Is 2K Sports' latest annual ball 'em up Major League Baseball 2K12 worth your time and money? Are its changes exciting enough for you to buy yet another installment? You'll be able to judge for yourself today, as a demo is arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The demo recreates the 2011 World Series, letting you play three innings as either the Texas Rangers or St. Louis Cardinals. According to 2K, "It showcases many of MLB 2K12's improved features, including the dynamic tendencies system that adjusts pitcher and batter ratings as the game unfolds; a revamped throwing system; and a new hit distribution system with more varied and realistic hit types."

Neither demo is up just yet, with the PSN demo due to arrive in the PlayStation Store update this afternoon, and the 360 demo coming whenever it feels like it.

MLB 2K12 is slated for release on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2, Wii, DS, and PSP on March 6, developed by 2K's Visual Concepts studio. 2K's also put together an Xbox 360-exclusive double-pack with NBA 2K12 for $70, if you need extra sports.

And here's a new gameplay trailer, with seven minutes of the Los Angeles Angels playing the Detroit Tigers:

That has to be the most boring trailer in history...There's barely even 1 hit.

Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that the game consists of a lot of "drudgery" and repetition, so yes, a lot of boring moments.
