The US Army's $57 million training "game" was announced back in May, and it said to feature huge areas as compared to the tightly crafted maps found in games like Modern Warfare 3. Unlike game's like Full Spectrum Warrior, the Army-sponsored game isn't slated to be available to the general public, which is a shame because it looks gorgeous.

ARMA would be so good in a smoother engine like cryengine or frostbite. But I dunno how adaptive they are to that kind of AI and gameplay.

i haven't seen it since i'm at work - but is it just like dismounting from a trooper carrier / hmmv on react to contact drills or something?

if so, i mean that's awesome but i hope it doesn't take the place of actually doing it during blank/live fire exercises.
