Retro City Rampage's merry romp across video games history will also include a retro-style take on Twisted Pixel's 'Splosion Man, developer Vblank has revealed. Mysterious further indie crossovers were also teased for the open-world pop culture 'em up.
'Splosion Man is "the first of Retro City Rampage's official indie (or previously indie) crossovers," Joystiq reports Vblank said at Minecraft's MineCon over the weekend. Ms. 'Splosion Man is also making an appearance.
As well as the obvious Grand Theft Auto influence, Retro City Rampage also lovingly borrows from heaps of classic movies, television shows, and games, including Back to the Future, Bionic Commando, Super Mario, and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. The more, the merrier!
Retro City Rampage is in development for Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare.
