It wasn't long ago that EA brought the classic board game of Risk to consoles and PC in the form of Risk: Factions. At its recent summer showcase, the publisher announced that it's bringing a version of the game to Facebook sometime this summer.
As one would expect, the version of Risk: Factions on Facebook will include competitive multiplayer, but will differ from previous iterations of the game in that each faction will have access to "special abilities" to help them turn the tide of battle. Zombies, for instance, will gain access to a special weapon that makes them "better brain eaters," and humans will have access to a special attack boost, as well.
Further details are scant at this point, but the idea of bringing popular board games to a social media environment seems like a natural fit. Moreso, at any rate, than sending folks off to the latest "Ville."
Jeff Mattas posted a new article, Risk: Factions to conquer Facebook with special weapons.
Risk: Factions is coming to Facebook with an arsenal of new weapons.
This is awesome, but I wish EA would fix the Multiplayer disconnect bug in the XBLA title. I can't even play online have the time.
