It would appear that Nathan Drake is going to go through a spat of déjà vu before his next adventure unwinds. According to CVG, an Uncharted Collection will launch on the PlayStation 3 next month.
The Uncharted set is scheduled to arrive alongside the previously confirmed Resistance Collection. The Uncharted bundle had briefly appeared on Best Buy's website; however, it has since been removed. The game was reportedly priced for $39.99 and set to launch on July 22.
According to CVG, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed the bundle for the region. When asked for comment on a North American release, a Sony Computer Entertainment America spokesperson told Shacknews:
SCEA has no new announcements. SCEE announced a territory-specific retail promotion. Their Collection contains Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and a voucher for a Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception dynamic theme and avatar. The games are existing Platinum Blu-ray product placed in a sleeve with the aforementioned PSN voucher.
The CVG report notes that the Uncharted Collection includes both Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, (pictured above), along with an Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception dynamic PS3 theme and avatar. It appears the "Game of the Year" edition of UC2 is not included in this bundle.
PlayStation Lifestyle also reports that the day will also see release of a Ratchet & Clank Future bundle, which packs Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time along with a few bonuses to promote the upcoming release of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.
Xav de Matos posted a new article, Resistance & Ratchet collections coming July 22; Uncharted confirmed for Europe.
Sony is planning on re-releasing its most popular PS3 franchises, in preparation for the upcoming releases of Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3.
"It appears the "Game of the Year" edition of UC2 is not included in this bundle." sucks.
The Game of the Year version is a Greatest Hits now, and quite easily obtainable for about $15.
Might be better off getting these separately, if you don't own them already.
