Batman: Arkham City 'Robin DLC' is timed exclusive

Shacknews has confirmed that the "Robin DLC" for Batman: Arkham City will be made available as downloadable content for those who do not pre-order the game from Best Buy.

A Warner Bros. representative has informed Shacknews that the recently revealed playable Robin challenge maps for Batman: Arkham City will be made available to all gamers as downloadable content at some point after the game's launch.

Originally announced as a pre-order exclusive for Best Buy customers in North America, Warner has now clarified that the Robin DLC is only a "timed exclusive" for the retailer. "It will be made available to everyone some time after launch," the rep told Shacknews.

Presumably the content will be made available at a premium price, further incentivizing the pre-order option; however, Warner Bros. has yet to confirm a cost for the DLC.

I can deal with timed exclusive. It's still silly, but not nearly as bad as full retailer-specific exclusives can be.
