Morning Discussion

I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 online lately--on PC--getting myself prepped for the arrival of Black Ops. If there's one thing I've learned in the past few nights playing Modern Warfare 2, it's that I'm terrible at Modern Warfare 2.

On console, I can tear fools up. PC? Not a chance. Those ladies and gents rocking the mouse and keyboard are killing ninjas. Also, they are crazy fired-up about kicking ass and taking names. So fired-up that, well, they might be okay if they ran off to fight in a real war. At least for the drive there. (In this scenario, war is happening ten blocks from your house and you car pool there.)

Although, maybe they wouldn't be great candidates for a real war. It would get super awkward when trying to get them to realize you can't just flick a switch that magically appears in your pocket launch a nuclear strike after taking out 25 enemies.

There's apparently a little more to it than that. It might actually be 28 enemies.

What are you up to this weekend?

Yes. Unless you plan to drink beers and smoke while watching on your big screen at home which makes you a winner. Receiving between round bjs optional

Watching those games sounds like getting stuff done to me!

This is why I've invited friends over to watch the MLG games this weekend. The wife can't complain that I'm just sitting around watching games now because it's an Event!

I watch them usually the day the VODS are posted when I get home from work.

I watched FoxeR last night. I think SlayerS`BoxeR played already today right?

You really must resist, because actually I don't say who wins or loses in the spoiler but you'll be able to tell once you've watched it, I mean you're going to come back here and just go :( omg - because when Foxer plays a Z - it is exciting and awesome and those were the best games of GSL2, whereas tonights games were utter shit - and I'm not hating to hate, I mean they just sucked and I like TvZ - colour me fucked off!

Furthermore I'm so disapointed by tonights game, my anger about no Protoss is reignited, I mean... what a fuckup - I hope foxer wins at least !

Boxer did - in a fucking 4-0 - yes not a single game won and they were literally, literally 10x worse than Foxers TvZ - what an utter disapointment, basically not worth tunining in to!

No Protoss makes me sad. I'm interested to see what players like NexGenius, oGsInca and Tester will come up with, however I am not holding my breath. There isn't too much variation you can introduce into PvT due to the limiting factor of Banshees and all-ins.

In PvP, there is some room for creative play, but it is so dependent on the map, spawn positions and whether your opponent 4 gates. Most players 4 gate to be safe.

PvZ is slightly more interesting, however no more Forge FE means Protoss either does a 2 or 3 gate opening into an expansion, or you do an economic 4 gate push with Zealots, Sentries and a sprinkling of Stalkers to punish Zerg for having only Zerglings and Spine Crawlers.

I know I am derailing the thread somewhat.
