Weekend Discussion: Until We Meet Again

Friends and Colleagues,

As you may know, I'm stepping away from the day-to-day affairs of Shacknews to pursue other opportunities--specifically, what I hope will lead to a career in teaching.

The good news, though, is I'm not going away entirely. After three and a half years or so, I just couldn't just abandon you folks, so I'll still be around to contribute news, previews, and reviews on occasion, not to mention lurking about in Latest Chatty.

Come Monday, you'll meet our newest full-time staffer, whom I hope you'll be nice to.

So until we meet again, take care, and don't forget to hack the planet, okay?

From The Chatty

Guy is just fishing for well wishes and salutations. He should of just been dragged out behind the shed and shot like all the rest.

Thanks for all the wonderful articles, Chris. Coming from a long line of educators, I hope you find teaching at least half as rewarding as my family has. Good luck!

Chris is from Fort Wayne or something, right? The kids are all a bunch of punks up there. I think they are going to give him the schooling and not the other way around. It's going to be like a cross between Dangerous Minds and bits of Hamlet (specifically the part where everything ends in tragedy.) Of course, I still wish him luck.

His life is going to turn into a wacky but touching comedy about one teacher and his unruly schoolkids who go from neighbourhood punks to winning the state chess championships. Also, he'll find true love somewhere in there.

He's a really cool cat. I met him at E3 this year--totally bumped into him while waiting to see Rage--and he's definitely the kind of guy I'd like to grab a beer with.
