Mafia 2 Gets Exclusive Day-One DLC on PS3

Among the numerous game announcements at Sony's E3 press conference, it's been revealed that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will receive some exclusive downloadable content on release day. The DLC will reportedly provide "hours of content," though specifics weren't revealed.

This newly announced DLC is above and beyond the other downloadable goodies announced previously for multiple platforms.

Mafia 2 is due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 24 in North America, with an international release following on August 27.

Do they get paid extra by Sony to include exclusive hours of content for their system?

Just like MS paid extra for the GTA4 stuff and the Call of Duty stuff.

Was there exclusive content for Xbox or are you referring to the earlier release?

The GTA4 expansions were available for X360 several months before PS3 saw them.
