Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the designer behind titles including Rez, Space Channel 5 and Lumines, is producing a "multi-sensory shooter" with support for Microsoft's motion-sensing Xbox 360 controller Kinect, publisher Ubisoft announced.

Developed by Q Entertainment for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Child of Eden is promised to "send players diving into a kaleidoscopic matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals that will usher forth yet another landmark game experience from the mind of renowned game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi."

Ubisoft explains that with Kinect "the player will use his body to move the camera, and both hands to lock-on and shoot for a completely new multi-sensory shooting game experience," though regular controls are also supported. There was no mention of support for Sony's competing PlayStation Move controller.

Child of Eden is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in the first quarter of 2011.

Man I love the look of this game.. it reminds me or Rez and a lot of those cool PSN games which have been mostly exclusive to PS3. My only concern is that in the demo... it doesn't look extremely accurate. It seems to me like the guy is kind of strugling to hit the targets.. but it's one of those things where I guess you have to try it yourself to know.

if i'm correct it looks like its was being demoed with natal, i think it'll be a lot more accurate and fluid with the move.

I would disagree only for the fact that you aren't aiming and shooting at things.

Its more waving the reticule over targets and then firing off lasers which would seem much more natural with Kinect
