    I was reading along the ingredients list thinking "OK, yeah, this looks obvious enough for a chili recipe" until I got to the can of Dr. Pepper. What a random ingredient--does it make a difference?

      why wouldn't it? dr pepper has a lot of spice in it, lots of chilis use some kind of extra liquid like a beer or coke.

      it is a slightly sweet chili. It was the 2007 winner during the local chili cookoff, and its my go to chili recipe.
