"It was among the most heinous incidents in video game history," says Nintendo of Princess Zelda's first kidnap ordeal, explaining with the aid of a new Spirit Tracks trailer that "for the first time in [the series'] 23-year history... Princess Zelda is leaving the villainous clutches of the underworld behind and joining the adventure with Link."

Keen-eyed viewers might notice that Zelda's body appears to have once again been abducted and the poor dear is left a spirit haunting clanky old suits of armour and obeying Link's every command, but we suppose any progress is good progress.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks hits the DS in North America on December 7.

Fuck that. We need a GOOD zelda game to come out. How much more powerful is the Wii than the DS?

Nintendo has been promising us a zelda game made for the controls of the wii (1:1 sword control etc) since the release of the system, and I'm still waiting :(

And all they gave was a slightly up-ported Wii version of a gamecube game that wasn't all that good to begin with.

      Nintendo <3

Guess I can feel lucky, I played Twilight Princess on the Wii first. Though nowhere near as awesome as OoT, Twilight Princess was an amazing experience on the Wii. 1:1 would have made it better but stil... it was a noteworthy entry in the franchise.

Definitely. But it was still just an upported game from the GC.

I want a game MADE for the wii.

I do understand where you're coming from, but despite the Wii version of TP being a port, I found it far more enjoyable and playable than the GC version. There were four item equip buttons instead of two, and I felt the motion controls, while not 1:1, were enough to further immerse me in the game.

So what you're saying is: picking up TP on wii will make it a not-paper-weight again? I already played it on GC but thats a game I'd play again anda gain if i owned it (my roomie had it on GC my soph year in college)
