Perfect Dark Screenshots: Elvis the Alien

Rare has released a trio of new screenshots from the Xbox Live Arcade port of its N64 shooter Perfect Dark, showing revamps of a pair of levels and Joanna's alien pal Elvis.

Handled by Banjo Kazooie XBLA porter 4J Studios, Perfect Dark hits XBLA this winter with "all the original game features... plus new Xbox LIVE ones" and its infamous performance woes banished, now reportedly offering "1080p at 60 frames per second."

I played this on an emulator with an Xbox 360 controller. It's surprising how well the game has held up. This could end up being on of the better FPSes on the console if the port is done properly.

Looking at the screenshots, it looks like they updated all of the models and character models, and all of the textures. I can only PRAY they did not "update the gameplay" or "update the controls".

How did this function on an emulator? You know... since the Xbox 360 lacks a certain 'three-pronged-dildo' control accessory.

So instead of making new games, Rare is porting their old good ones to 360? Sad, so very sad.

better than them releasin more NEW crap like they have been doing recently. think rare have lost their edge since the N64 days. back then, if a rare game came out, u bought it.
