Star Wars: The Force Unleashed DLC Announced; Tatooine Level Downloadable, Hoth on 'Sith Edition'

LucasArts today announced two new levels for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, one downloadable and the other available only with an upcoming special edition of the game, according to a press release published by VG247 and a story on PS3 Informer. The downloadable content, set for a fall release, will put players on Tatooine in a story that "re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had killed Darth Vader and taken his place at the Emperor's side." The Apprentice is sent to the infamous planet on a mission to hunt down and kill the reclusive Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Unfortunately, the conclusion of the alternate storyline won't be as easy to obtain.

A new "Ultimate Sith Edition" of the game will be released this holiday season, and will include an exclusive Hoth stage on disc, in addition to all of the previous DLC.

"The Secret Apprentice is sent to the planet Hoth on a crusade to crush the Rebellion once and for all," says LucasArts of the level. "While on Hoth, players face Luke Skywalker himself while visiting iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back."

Pretty cool, but the price is going to have to drop on the content if they expect the people that have beat the game to bite. Still haven't gotten the Jedi Temple DLC for this reason.
