Left 4 Dead 2? I liked the first one and if this one comes with more game-play and stuff from the get-go I'll probably purchase it. But I'd like to see some actual game-play footage first.

There was a bunch of gameplay footage from IGN that Bamtan posted in the last thread. I don't have a link handy, though.

There's a few gameplay videos floating around. loots mostly just like L4D, other than being in daylight:

To be fair, the intro to L4D doesn't have many elements that aren't in the game--the only one I can think of is the tank tearing down the fire escape. Considering that, I think we can look forward to at least one new boss, a larger variety of melee attacks, and additional dismemberment, with the possible inclusion of (scripted) air strikes. Which sounds fine to me.

Imagine if they put in a "laser painter" or something where you could call an airstrike or a can of hairspray and a lighter.

I would like to see more weapons, and also think it would be cool to have a certain number of randomly generated weapons for campaign play instead of everyone being able to get whatever weapon they pleased.

For example you might find 2 m4's and a hunting rifle, and you have to decide on the fly who takes what. That's one of the things I like about l4d. Every playthrough is different. Although there is a general strategy to each campaign, you never really know exactly what lies around the next corner.

Called a Charger. Seems like the ... "charging guy" from Gears of War. Runs in a straight line and destroys people in it's path.

hunter, boomer, smoker are all in there and the witch instead of sitting on the ground crying, now wanders around (at night she sits and cries, during the day she wanders around).

          There's supposedly more.

I think at the end of L4D2, the four players should run into the L4D1 guys who then jack them for their guns and pills

As far as I'm concerned there are 2 issues holding L4D back from greatness.

      1. The maps get boring really quick, of course this is being addressed in L4D2.

      2. The zombies don't scare you, it's just waves of nothingness that you don't even feel the need to run from. If that's 90% of the mobs you only need to be scared of the special ones. Hopefully this is addressed as well.

If they take care of those issues, I'm pretty sure I'll be addicted. I don't really see the need for a 2nd one just yet though, like previous comments, I'm used to Valve really supporting and updating their stuff. If it has to be done to make a good game then or they just want to start again to make something better I'm all for it.
