APB Trailer Talks Crime and Punishment

Realtime Worlds' APB is the first MMO to really grab my attention. Maybe it's the open modern-day world with dynamic cops vs. robbers missions, or maybe I simply want to play a character who looks like she's just stepped out of an awesome music video.

Realtime also offers concept art and high-res screengrabs. EA announced today that it will publish the MMO, which arrives on PC early next year. No word yet as to when the previously announced Xbox 360 version will arrive.

I still don't know about this :\ I'd like to see some more gameplay - it looks a bit clunky, but I suppose the finished product is a ways off.

agreed - it looks really sluggish and meh. This would be better off as some sort of BF clone only heavily optimized for urban combat environments.

Given the notoriety of lag in most MMO titles, it just doesn't mix well with an action environment in my limited experience with the genres

I agree. Need more footage. As others have said, a GTA MMO but it doesn't look great. Doesn't look like trash either but as razlebol said the hype meter on this one just went down a few notches.
