Ubisoft has released a series of trailers from Far Cry 2, the shooter sequel for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Five videos come together to show one day and one night of in-game time while dispatching roughly 30 bad guys and handing out at least 25 explosions.

The demo-less open-world game, in the works at Ubisoft's Montreal studio, will hit North America on October 21 and Europe on October 24.

For sunset, night and sunrise videos, follow through.

To each his own I guess. Looks like boiling point: road to hell without the glitches to me. So I'll be picking it up soon as I have my new rig.

I agree with Kaboomzzz...this looks incredibly dry. What a horrible trailer to showcase your game. Yawnage.

I totally want this game. When I was a teenager with an attention span of 14 seconds I wanted games that involved constant carnage and spastic color schemes, but as an adult with a life that has enough excitement I really enjoy some nice murder at my own pace wander through the forest type game play.

I really enjoyed the new stalker clear sky until it turned into a lame fps 60% of the way through. They clearly shipped that thing early and cut 40% of the intended content.

I agree. Clear Sky was great up until they stopped allowing me to go back through the areas. I played the entire game one way and in the end was forced by the game to do it their way, which seemed to me to be the polar opposite of what stalker was supposed to be about.

Im also really excited for this game. What did it for me in these videos was just the sheer scale of it all. One thing I've always loved about open-ended games is just exploring the area and looking for cool sights and this game seems to have them in excess.

Agreed 100%, both about Clear Sky and Far Cry 2 :)

Strange, I'm an old duffer by a longshot (no teenage-level attention span) and I have no interest in the apparently monolithic pace this trailer seemed to present. ::: shrug ::: Each to his own, I guess.

I'm with you. I loved Boiling Point despite the many glitches and FarCry2 looks like the big budget sequel BP will never get.

Yeah, his definition must be different than mine because if it's boring, you are defeinitely doing something wrong.

I'm gonna create my own alternate ending to "A Constant Gardner" with this excellent Farcry 2 - someone needs to set an fps in the Brazilian favellas so I can re-enact "City of God" too. Hopefully with a BJJ mod.

SOLD. I love expansive games that encourage exploring. I especially can't wait for some jungle exploring when in the rain or other interesting atmospheric conditions. I usually like a good dose of immersion in my games and this seems to be dripping with it.

Until you realize that there's really nothing there to explore and that the game thinly veils its "open-ended aspect" with a lot of foliage and the occasional wild animal. Whee! Exciting!

To clarify a bit - I'm hoping that this turns out great and that reviews reveal it to be awesomeness incarnate, but I'm extremely doubtful based on what I've seen in previews and trailers up to this point. Show us the pizazz guys.

Agian, Recoiless Rifle, but actually seeing a Recoiless Rifle in a game was cool.
