Beer Pong, Other Frat Games Head to Wii

Update: Check out the sweet trailer.

Original Story: Beer Pong and other college-inspired activities are coming to Wii in the form of downloadable WiiWare titles, developer JV Games has revealed.

Due out this June, Beer Pong is said to support traditional tournament-style Beer Pong for up to four players, and Speed Pong, which has players throwing as fast as they can, for up to three.

JV Games boasts that the effort has "a very accurate and realistic throw system" to help players toss and bounce balls into cups placed across the table. "Just hold the Wii Remote like you would a normal ball and throw," JV Games VP Jag Jaeger explained.

"Beer Pong is quickly becoming a worldwide sensation, from high-stakes competitions being held here in Las Vegas to more and more establishments creating Beer Pong environments to attract new customers," he added.

The title is billed as the first entry in the Frat Party Games series. The company neglected to name any other activities that future titles may be based on, though based on this reporter's time at college, digital renditions of the bean bag tosser Cornhole and tethered ball thrower Hillbilly Golf seem likely.
