Flight Simulator X: Acceleration Now Gold

The latest addition to Microsoft's 25-year-old flight sim franchise, Flight Simulator X: Acceleration from Microsoft's wholly owned ACES Studio has gone gold, Microsoft Game Studios announced today.

Acceleration is the first expansion to last year's Flight Simulator X, and will arrive just over a year after the original sim's release on October 23. Fittingly, the game retails alongside Project Aces' Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, the latest in the long-running Namco Bandai series of jet-sim titles, which also went gold today.

It'll be a good week for the flight sim fans when the expansion retails for $29.99 later this month.

We got poker, it's incredible, we got a poker game!
Seriously i don't see what people are complaining about, you pay a "small" premium and you get a well designed poker game, isn't that worth the money?
There are also programs from Microsoft, that no one wants in that package it rocks!

I'm pissed about no direct X support either. its Flight Simulator X for a fing reason. I thought for sure when the expansion came out they would've included the direct x 10 patch for the regular game on the disc and released it online... but this is gold and theres no mention of that patch ANYWHERE. Someone should sue them to get their asses on it. Its mis-representing a product... I feel its been more than enough time for them to reasonably come out with it too. Its a part of the game i paid for
