I did go ahead and saw Miami Vice this weekend, which totally exceeded my expectations as I really dug the movie. Colin Farrell was pretty damn mediocre in his role, but I find it hard to complain about anything else. Looked great, sounded great and it included some fine action sequences.

Movie: Just cause you got the stripes don't mean you ain't gonna die.

      I just saw a feature about the mentos and diet coke thing on tv... turns out that it's not a chemical but a physical effect. Due to the mentos' rough surface a lot of co2 is being generated when it falls to the bottom of the bottle causing the "explosion"
      
      it works with little stones too if the surface is right

        it's partially chemical. The mentos in normal soda water didn't have much of a reaction but once the gum arabic and aspartame (used in diet coke/pepsi) were added the reaction was much bigger.
