Won't buy this without another demo, won't download another demo without good word of mouth. If the first demo was any indication of what this game will be, no thanks.

I really do hate to be negative about this game. I really loved the first one. I wanted to love this one. I know the developer's don't want to hear their game is shit, but they're gonna have to step up and release another demo, or hope to hell they can sell it to people that havn't played the demo. It might be better if they had never released a demo. I feel bad for croteam.

Honestly, I don't think you and I are the target market for this game like we were the first time around. Croteam has squarely targeted the console crowd with this and while I understand why, it doesn't mean baby jebus isn't crying.

More than anything else I think we're just amazed that they didn't take the parts of the first game(s) that everyone liked most (wide open spaces full of baddies) and make SS2 full of that, instead of lame invisible walls and tons of flying enemies and whatnot.

You're making assumptions based on a very, very, very small portion of the game.

You've played exactly 1/45th of the entire game if you've played through the demo from start to finish.

Yes, the final game has wide open spaces. STOP WHINING ALREADY.

Seriously. I think the last 2 demos were wonderful representations of the full versions. This i believe is also a wonderful representation of the full version. Which unfortunately makes me not want to buy it.

Way to pick the 45th of the game for the demo that is least likely to sell fans of the first game(s). =P

It's funny that when I mentioned it was aimed for console's and I wasn't supporting it for that reason I was flamed. Even GeorgeB chimed in. Not to say it's a bad game, I had an ok time with the demo.. it just isn't anywhere near as cool as the original judging by it.

Well you were right. It's popular on the shack to think the platform doesn't matter no matter what, but it absolutely does. And as time goes by, there is more evidence and more examples of it.

I thought the demo was absolute crap, but I don't understand what makes it a console first game or, as the boys around here like to say, console'd.

Judging from the demo the levels are more corridor styled, it feels cramped. The original SS had big outdoor areas with alot of room for you and your friends to move. Invisible walls seem to piss people off, but i'm not sure that has anything to do with it being targeted for consoles. Other people complain about the menu, but that doesn't bug me a bit. On the up-side people claim the demo isn't a great indicator of what's in store for the full game.

Don't feel bad. I mean they had what.... 5 years, and they come up with *this*?

Agreed, the demo was far too short and from reading the forums it was intended, sorry but fire the guy that made that choice. Short demos = bad demos. There just wasn't anything hugely appealing here, apart from the nice graphics. I really wanted to like this since it's cheap, but I just don't.
