Battlefield 1.2 Patch Soon

The Battlefield Vietnam website has posted the newsletter which was recently sent to subscribers of that list. The developers are gearing up to release the 1.2 patch for the game, which will add three new maps, new weapons and more. Screenshots are included.

Hmm.. I still have problems getting into this game.

The failure of Vietnam, IMO, makes me worried (even though by a different developer?) of BF2. It looks great, but I don't wanna buy it and have it turn out to be another BFNAM. Ugh...

  I've been very satisfied with BFV. My only request would be to implement the newer vehicles into the old maps here and there, so you could actually experience them without having to run only the new maps provided in a patch. I guess that would make for a bit of a balancing headache and more patch delays, though.

    I think it would be worth it, though. More tank and vehicle combat would definitely be a good thing in BF:V, so I think it would be time well spent in terms of resources.

    Server admins can do this themselves with custom combat mode, but none ever do.

  BF:V was the biggest gaming dissapointment in a while for me. It totally wrecked the fun of Battlefield for me. All of the balance and polish that BF42 has seemed to be totally ignored. I played it a couple of times, uninstalled. blah.

    I mean you could say the exact same thing about 1942 in it's early patches.

  I also don't know what you mean about failure. There are a TON of people playing this game. Go look at the in-game browser. Me and 7 guys from my work play this game all the time. We all love it.

  thx for "guessing" at the failure, I suggest you check all seeing eye and what not before making such claims.

  the BF:V WWII mod rocks! its almost worth getting BF:V for the mod because its BF42 with better graphics, grass, and some gameplay tweeks that really help balance things... (only 3 maps so far)
