It’s been more than a year since Elden Ring was released, and FromSoftware continues to improve upon the game with updates that keep players in The Lands Between. While the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is likely far off, smaller updates are still being released to address bugs and add new features. With the release of Elden Ring Version 1.09, ray tracing has been added to the RPG. Let’s dive into the patch notes.

New feature

Ray Tracing support has been added for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC versions.

Ray Tracing can be activated in the settings menu:

Please note that performance - such as frame rate and resolution - may be impacted while playing with Ray Tracing on.
