At the latest PlayStation State of Play event, we learned more about the upcoming titles for PS4 and PS5. Developer Young Horses made an appearance to announce some new story content for Bugsnax. The Isle of Bigsnax is a free DLC for the game that’s set to launch in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
We got our first look at the upcoming DLC for Bugsnax at today’s PlayStation State of Play. In the story expansion, players travel to a mysterious island. Here, Bugsnax are much larger than they are on Snaktooth. There’s also several new species, which we get a glimpse at in the new trailer, which can be seen below.
“We're beyond excited to be working with our beloved voice cast again! Yuri Lowenthal, Casey Mongillo, Debra Wilson, and Haviland Stillwell are back to dig deep into their characters, and the result is our favorite blend of goofiness and tragedy. You'll be hearing from a few other returning grumpuses, too, including one you might not expect...” said Creative Director Kevin Zuhn.
Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax is set to launch sometime in 2022. The story expansion will be a free update for owners of the game on PS4 and PS5. Developer Philip Tibitowski clarified on Twitter that the content will work on all save files, regardless if the players have beaten the main story or not.
