Nintendo Direct E3 2021 was crammed full of reveals and announcements for new games coming later this year and into 2022. Even though Mario Golf: Super Rush is fast approaching the green, with a release date later this month on June 25, Nintendo was keen to bring us some news on post-release content plans.
With a new trailer shown at the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021, news was revealed that Mario Golf: Super Rush will be getting DLC updates after the game launches. Not only will the game be getting some new content, it was also announced that the updates will be free to download. This falls in line with how Nintendo supported Mario Tennis Aces and it's good to see that Mario Golf: Super Rush won't be any different.
Now that Mario Golf: Super Rush is soon on the way for Nintendo Switch, the duo of Mario Tennis and Golf on one platform is completed again. The two Mario sports titles were a common pair for Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and the GameCube. After skipping two generations with the Wii and the Wii U, it's good to see the two sports titles back in business together where they belong.
