Babylon's Fall trailer shows off story and gameplay at E3 2021

Published , by Sam Chandler

Originally announced back in 2018, Babylon’s Fall was scheduled for a 2019 release. Cut to 2019 and basically the only thing we hear about it is some footage during Sony’s State of Play. And now, some two years after that, players have been treated to not only a teaser, but a full blown trailer featuring story beats and gameplay. Please, check out the Babylon’s Fall trailer below.

Highlighted during the Square Enix Presents Summer Showcase at E3 2021, the Babylon’s Fall trailer gives fans another fresh look at what PlatinumGames has been up to all these years. The game features solo gameplay but can also be played with friends. Babylon’s Fall offers co-op multiplayer which means you’ll be able to complete dungeons with up to four other friends. It will also feature a host of “post launch game modes at no additional cost” according to the trailers YouTube description.

Players that want to get in and experience the action before the game releases (whenever that may be) can actually sign up for the Babylon’s Fall closed beta. The beta will be rolled out into three phases, with each one focusing on stress testing a certain aspect of the game.

If you like the look of what you saw, make sure you check out the Babylon’s Fall Steam page (when it goes live) so you can add it to your wishlist. The game is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, though, no release date has been announced as of yet. Take a moment to look over the Square Enix page for more on what was announced during the publisher’s livestream. There’s also the Shacknews E3 2021 page, which is where we keep all of the latest news and game announcements.
