Arkane Studios' next game is a bloodthirsty vampire romp called Redfall

The Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 Showcase wrapped up with one more thing in the form of a spine-chilling vampire shooter titled, Redfall. Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Austin conjured up a lengthy reveal trailer for the new Xbox exclusive full of monsters and mayhem. Redfall is scheduled for vampire vanquishing in summer 2022.

Viewers were anticipating some new exclusives for the Xbox platform with Microsoft acquiring every talented studio they could snap up. No deal was as high profile as the purchase of Bethesda for $7.5 billion making it one of the largest game-related acquisitions to date, only behind Tencent's pick up of Supercell. By buying Bethesda, Microsoft secured some of the most revered and celebrated studios in gaming. Arkane Studios is one such famed developer and Arkane Austin has been working hard after its hit reboot of Prey. Redfall is the latest exclusive shown for Xbox consoles and it's set for release in summer 2022. We have the thrilling cinematic trailer for you below.

The Redfall announcement trailer shown at Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 opens with a human crew hanging out in a demolished convenience store with the first character shown flipping the pages of a horror novel using telekinetic powers. We get a short introduction to our cast including a cute hobbled robot. The trailers then kick it up a notch by traveling back in time to show the battle that took place just moments before. From here viewers are treated to a visual cornucopia of pre-rendered supernatural conflict of the utmost awesomeness. It looks like our intrepid squad has their own abilities and gear specializing in vampiric elimination as they conjure ethereal elevators, automatic wooden stake launchers, and even an umbrella blast that would make Mary Poppins gasp.

Redfall helps to fill the gap of must-play exclusive titles that Microsoft has been trying to fill since buying up studios over the last few years. Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Austin have set us up for some unbelievably cool-looking demon hunting with Redfall. The game is set to hit Xbox consoles sometime in summer 2022.
