The Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 Showcase announced a ton of games coming to Xbox Game Pass and The Ascent was another indie title featured today. The twin-stick shooter looter is set to release on July 29. The Ascent will be available on Xbox Game Pass via console, PC, and cloud-enabled devices.

Welcome to The Ascent Group arcology, a corporate-run metropolis stretching high into the sky and filled with creatures from all over the galaxy. You play as a worker, enslaved by the company that owns you and everyone else in your district. One day, you are suddenly caught in a vortex of catastrophic events: The Ascent Group shuts down for unknown reasons and the survival of your district is threatened. You must take up arms and embark on a new mission to find out what started it all.
The short trailer showed a quick look at the action we'll expect to see from The Ascent, with intense action in its solo and co-op play. The Ascent is set to release for all Xbox Game Pass devices, including consoles, PCs, and cloud-compatible mobile gadgets on July 29.
