Samsung is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of smartphones. During the company’s presentation at CES 2021, the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ phones were revealed.

Built to endure, the Samsung Galaxy S21 is designed with Gorilla Glass Victus, making it the toughest smartphone from Samsung. As for what’s on the inside, the S21 and S21 features the 5nm processor, making it the fastest in a Samsung phone to date, as well as a smart battery that can last for over 24 hours, even on 5G.

Samsung also revealed the S21 Ultra, the premiere model of their new smartphone line. With a quad rear camera, the S21 Ultra is one of the highest-quality cameras in a smartphone to date. The phone display will automatically adjust between 10-120 Hz depending what application is in use, in order to optimize the user experience. The S21 Ultra will also be compatible with the S pen. The S21 Ultra comes in phantom black and phantom silver.

One of the major talking points of the Samsung S21 reveal was its camera. Capable of shooting at 8K resolution, Samsung touts its new phone as being able to produce cinematic-quality pictures and video. The video camera can record at 60fps, but will automatically adjust so that the capture looks smooth in bright and low lighting.

The Galaxy S21 starts at $799, the S21+ starts at $999, and the S21 Ultra will start at $1,199. The phones will be available on January 29.

they say that every fucking year. 8k video on a phone? put those resources into a better sensor that's good in low light. no one needs 8k in a phone where compression and light sensitivity will just make it look like shit anyway.

Yea, this is pretty out of hand. I know there are some people that want to take great videos on a phone, but I am not paying 800 bucks for a phone that could cost half that if it didn't have that capability. I'll stick with my old phone as long as I can.

It's too late for me, .. my son.
My Huawei is a fucking beast of a phone, it's a monster and it's 27 months old and nothing comes close to it.

Now that I've had a phone with an IR module, why would I buy one without it?
        NFC? fuckin solid
        Flat screen! sold
        USB-C charging? legit.
        Wifi hotspot mode! cool
WIFI BRIDGE mode!? super, super cool.
Good enough camera with ultra ultra wide mode? Legit.
Fingerprint reader on the back? I was wrong - it's great.
        HEADPHONE SOCKET
        Good performance
        Stupid fast USB C charging
Very good battery life, 27 months on

Literally the only fancy feature I lack, is wireless charging.
I'm not kidding, when I say, literally - if you gave me a $4000 dollars and said "you can have any phone you want!" I would pick this phone!
Until someone can compete, with the Mate 20 (non pro) I'm sticking with it, it's mind blowing and I'm over 2 years into it!

I use Bluetooth earphones so the lack of a headphone jack isn't an issue... Until I forget my Bluetooth at home and the only spares at work are corded. That is when I hate Apple the most for starting this trend.

Exactly, a trend was started that didn't need to be. That stupid trend has me worried, one day I'm going to be on a plane and some idiot parent gives their kid the spare iPad which no longer has a headphone jack - bam. Whole plan of boops and clicks, because fuck Apple and fuck parents. Justp ut a fucking headphone jack on it !!!
