Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s launch time is fast approaching. Players looking to finalize any plans, collect any last items, and otherwise prepare for the launch date will need to get their affairs in order, quickly. Only a few hours remain until Shadowkeep arrives and you can start fighting on the moon.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch time

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s launch time is 10AM PDT / 1PM EST, Tuesday, October 1. This is the time that Bungie is working towards, though it is subject to change. The reason why it’s subject to change? Why, because of the Destiny 2 scheduled server downtime and maintenance window.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be available October 1, at 10AM PDT / 1PM EST.

Provided the scheduled maintenance goes according to play, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be playable at the highlighted time. However, if there are problems during the downtime, there’s a chance Shadowkeep’s launch could be later than that. Though, the likelihood of this is slim.

The flip side of this is that Shadowkeep’s launch time could arrive sooner. If the patching and updating goes off without a hitch, Bungie could release it ahead of schedule. While this is unlikely, there is always the chance.

In saying all this, the time players should be working toward is as above. It’s entirely likely that Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s launch time will remain as is. In the past, Bungie has been pretty accurate when it comes to setting a release time, ignoring the delay of Shadowkeep from September to October. In the event the time gets shifted, you can be certain that you’ll hear about it and the new release time.

For PC players, it's worth noting that once Shadowkeep releases on Steam and becomes playable, it will be unplayable on Blizzard. Once you get into the game, it's going to be a good idea to uninstall the Blizzard version (if your PC hasn't done so already) to save on disk space.

It’s going to be the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch time before you know it, so make sure you’re ready for release. Players on PC should transfer their Destiny 2 account to Steam, while everyone on all platforms can begin pre-loading.
