When players jump into Ghost Recon Breakpoint and get their first look at Cole D. Walker, they might just recognize him from several movies and television shows in recent years. While to some it’s obvious who plays Walker in Breakpoint, others might not be so sure.
Cole D. Walker is played by Jon Bernthal, who is known for playing some of the very big television and movie roles in the past few years. He is perhaps best known for playing Shane Walsh on The Walking Dead, but some might argue that he’s better known as playing Frank Castle in two seasons of The Punisher on Netflix. He has, of course, taken on many other roles, including parts in movies like The Wolf of Wall Street, Fury, Sicario, Wind River, and Baby Driver.
Players who want to figure out where they recognize Bernthal from should check out either his IMDB profile, or Wikipedia page to see his many credits. Nothing annoys me more than recognizing an actor but having no clue from where.
Bernthal’s selection as Cole D. Walker feels almost perfect, as he’s very experienced playing characters who have law enforcement or military backgrounds. Seeing him portray Walker adds an element of star power and authenticity to the role that should serve Ghost Recon Breakpoint well. This is exactly in Jon Bernthal’s wheelhouse.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint will release officially on October 4, 2019, but players who pre-order the game can get access on October 1, 2019.
