Ashes of Creation Apocalypse debuts in Early Access next week

Get your destruction on when you hop in-game next week!

Intrepid Studios' Ashes of Creation Apocalypse is headed into Early Access next week, and that means you'll get to try it out at long last.

The highly-anticipated MMORPG is hitting Early Access on September 24 at 12 PM PDT. As the standalone prequel to the MMORPG Ashes of Creation, Ashes of Creation Apocalypse acts as something of a "testing area" for new systems and other types of content that you'll encounter throughout Ashes of Creation. It will also feature a special battle arena where "magic, steel, and chaos" reign.

Next Tuesday, that means players will be able to participate in the game's Battle Royale mode (yes, you read that correctly). There will be other game modes as well, like Horde and Castle Sieges, added in new updates in the future. This will be a free-to-play game with plenty of content updates being added from time to time.

Here's the official synopsis:

"In Apocalypse, the world of Verra is on the brink of destruction - the only way out is to be the last one standing. It is an arena-based game which will support several different game modes, including battle royale-style gameplay, castle sieges, and gigantic monster horde battles! Our high fantasy setting, the vast array of gear and spells, and our massively destructible environments make for an experience unlike anything you’ve played. Hop in, stay alive, and win the glory."

You can play alone or with friends throughout an expansive multiplayer mode, destroy buildings in your wake, and employ various fighting styles. There's a lot going on in-game, but if you vibe with all that, you can jump in to try it all out next week.

Are you a big fan of Ashes of Creation and can't wait to give it a try now that it's in your grasp? Let us know in the comments below.
