Ring Fit Adventure, Leg Strap & Ring-Con for Switch revealed

Published , by Asif Khan

That weird Nintendo device teased last week has a name. It is the Nintendo Ring-Con and Leg Strap accesory and it comes with a brand new game called Ring Fit Adventure. The Big N has put out a new video explaining themselves. Please take a look.

In Ring Fit Adventure, players will be tasked with defeating an evil bodybuilder dragon. The new Ring-Con Switch accessory can be calibrated to players' fitness levels, so even I can play this new gaming experience. Players will have their leg movement tracked with the new Nintendo Switch Leg Strap and will be able to run in place to move their character in the game. Squeezing the Ring-Con will create a blast of air in the game, and doing that while pointing down will make your character jump.

Throughout the journey, enemies will encounter players and challenge them to fitness challenges. There are thirty different Fit Skills that exist across four categories of exercise. Red Fit Skills will work out your arms, Yellow Fit Skills will rely on your core muscles, Blue Fit Skills target your legs, and Green Fit Skills are inspired by yoga exercises. Using the right Fit Skills against enemies will inflict more damage. Players can even press the Ring-Con against their ab muscles to create a shield to defend against enemy attacks. Your success will be tied to the accuracy of your movements, rewarding players for proper form.

The Ring Fit Adventure bundle comes with the Ring-Con, game, and Leg Strap.

Players will gain experience and level up as they make their way through Ring Fit Adventure, unlocking new Fit Skills and increasing the damage you dish out. Session length will be up to the player. The game will also feature a Quick Play mode for players who just want to do some exercise activities real quick. Quick Play will feature minigames, sets, and a Simple Mode.

The Ring Fit Adventure game will come with the Ring-Con and Leg Strap and will launch on October 18, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $79.99. The Wii Balance Board outsold the PS3, so this crazy thing could actually move units. Let us know if you are going to pick one up, or if you plan on staying on the couch playing your Switch.
