Arma 3 goes on sale to celebrate 6th anniversary

Outside of the birthday sale, Arma 3 will also receive more Creator DLC in the coming year.

It’s been six years since Arma 3 left Steam Early Access and what better way to celebrate its birthday than with a sale? How about with a tease of more content coming thanks to the Creator DLC program?

For those who don’t already have one of the most realistic military titles ever released, Bohemia Interactive has put together an expansive sale. Players can find a range of discounts on the Arma 3 base game, Apex Edition, as well as the Ultimate bundle. The Ultimate pack will no doubt be the most appealing for those who are new to the franchise or those looking to round out their collection. This sale is set to last the weekend, September 12 – 16.

Also included in the sale is the Global Mobilization – Cold War Germany DLC. This is a full expansion created by external developers as part Bohemia Interactive’s Creator DLC program. The good news doesn’t end there, as the Creator DLC initiative is looking to bring even more great content to users in the future.

Though no specifics are available, Bohemia Interactive has revealed that agreements have been signed to bring more Creator DLC next year. This program allows external teams to make money while also providing players with more content to experience. With more developers creating content, Bohemia Interactive can focus on future projects without sacrificing supporting their title.

While it’s not included in the sale, players may also be interested in the recently released Contact DLC. Contact has players investigating the appearance of a massive alien ship that has appeared during a routine training exercise. It’s definitely a unique experience for the typically stringent military angle offered by the Arma series.

All in all, this is a lot of good news for Arma fans, and even those looking for an entry point into the series. The 6^th anniversary sale on Arma 3 will be over the coming weekend, from September 12 to 16, so there’s only a small window to jump in on the deals. Players can find these deals on both the Steam Store and the Bohemia Store.
