The September 2019 Nintendo Direct was full of games coming out today, but one of them will have to wait until 2020. Rogue Company, a new IP from Hi-Rez Studios, was confirmed to be in development and coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

Not a lot is known about Rogue Company beyond what was shared in the brief spotlight the game received during the Nintendo Direct. We know that gamers will play as a specialist from the Rogue Company faction, and that characters will be customizable. You can fight against friends or go against other players online in this multiplayer shooter. The game is said to feature many different modes and maps, although they didn’t give details on what the expectation is there.

While Rogue Company was announced as coming to the Nintendo Switch, the games official website does mention that it will also release on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. It’s interesting that it didn’t specific Xbox One or PS4, making me wonder if there’s a chance this will be a next generation title.

The official Rogue Company website had this description of the game:

One cool note that wasn’t mentioned in the Nintendo Direct is that Rogue Company will feature cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms.
