It's time for another foray into the Lego Star Wars universe.

Lego Star Wars Battles is the latest entry in the long-running franchise of Lego-centric licensed games, and this time it's all about strategizing. This entry will take familiar Star Wars characters from throughout their iterations in the Lego games as well as vehicles and locations from the movies and game series and bring them to life with real-time multiplayer battles.

Players will be able to mix and match their favorite characters and vehicles from various eras of the Star Wars universe to build "decks" of light or dark side forces for fun online matches. It will span all nine films from the original saga, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and more. It will also include the characters you know you want to see in-game too, like Luke Skywalker, Rey, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader. Don't think they forgot Porgs, Stormtroopers, or Battle Droids, either. Finally, you can play with a variety of vehicles from AT-ATs to TIE bombers, as well as the Millennium Falcon.

As far as when you can expect the game, mark down 2020 on your calendars, as it's headed to the App Store and Google Play as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases in 2020. That's about all we know so far, but it's pretty exciting times for Star Wars and Lego fans!
