Tarsier Studios unveils Little Nightmares 2 at Gamescom 2019

Gamescom 2019 is now underway, and the event's coordinators are already letting loose with loads of new game reveals. The latest reveal is Little Nightmares 2, a new entry in the fan-favorite horror-adventure series from Bandai Namco Entertainment in conjunction with the developers at Tarsier Studios.

Of course, it's never enough just to tell fans that a new game is coming. We want to see it in action! Fortunately, the developers and presenters were already on top of it. Check out the brand new Little Nightmares 2 announcement trailer through the video embed featured below.

"Return to the world of charming horror that has terrified over 1 million fans," the trailer's description reads. "Face a completely new set of distorted enemies as Mono, and learn how to be as courageous as a child." I think I'll stay cowered in the corner, thank you very much.

As can be told from the new announcement trailer featured above, and like with the previous series release, players can expect Little Nightmares 2 to feature plenty of horror-themed, puzzle-focused gameplay complete with disturbing visuals and a distinctly haunting atmosphere. The teacher's face in the trailer should be more than enough nightmare fuel in and of itself, but we're certain the game won't stop until players are forced to sleep with the lights on. Or, that's at least the goal, right?

Little Nightmares 2 will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime in 2020. To stay on top of other recent releases or upcoming launches, be sure to stop by Shacknews' 2019 video game release date schedule.
