Gamescom will be returning again for 2019, and many of the events' festivities have already been mapped out. This year's convention will play host to live streams and reveals from some of the biggest names in electronic entertainment, and we've got more details about Gamescom 2019 events, panels, tickets, and streams, plus essential dates and times featured below.

When is Gamescom 2019? Dates and times

Gamescom 2019 will take place between August 20 and August 24, 2019. The first day of the event on Tuesday, August 21 is for trade visitors and other business-related attendees, while general admission will open the following day on Wednesday, August 21.

Generally speaking, the doors are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for each day of the event. However, the first hours of August 20-22 are again for trade or business-oriented attendees — the rest will find that doors open at 10 a.m. through Thursday, with all participants free to attend starting at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Gamescom 2019 Schedule

Given the scope of the convention, it would be no surprise to learn that a whole lot of fun events are planned for Gamescom 2019. While the full list of events hasn't yet been provided, we do at least know of the big one: The Opening Night Live show with guest host Geoff Keighley.

Gamescom 2019 Live Streams

Looking to check out live streams for Gamescom 2019? You're in luck. The Gamescom Opening Night Live stream will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, and is scheduled to be streamed live through all the usual services including Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer.

The Gamescom opening live stream is slated to play host to several guest stars and notable games, including Cyberpunk 2077, Gears 5's Horde Mode, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Astrail Chain, and WRC 8. We also know that crews from Bigben Interactive, Konami, and even Sony will be in attendance, despite the latter's near-complete lack of involvement in the E3 2019 festivities.

Gamescom 2019 Tickets

It's not too late to secure your place at this year's Gamescom. Tickets are sold for Trade Visitors as well as Private Visitors, and both can be purchased over at the official Gamescom website.

Trade Visitor tickets are still available for three-day passes, though single-day passes for Friday's events are currently sold out. Private Visitor tickets are also selling out quickly, as the website indicates one-day tickets for Friday and Saturday are already sold out. If you're keen on watching the action unfold on-site, be sure to buy your Gamescom 2019 tickets as soon as possible.

There are loads of games and events planned for Gamescom 2019, and interested attendees still have a bit more time to track down tickets before Gamescom kicks off on August 20. For more highlights from this year's convention, be sure to drop by Shacknews' Gamescom 2019 home page.
