How to get the Elektrokraftwerk in Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Published , by Sam Chandler

Getting the Elektrokraftwerk in Wolfenstein: Youngblood is just as easy as unlocking all the other weapons in the game. This electricity-based weapon is great at frying Nazi electronics in order to gain access to off-limits locations. Despite it not being available at the very start of the game, it can be unlocked fairly quickly. So if you just can’t wait, here’s how to get the Elektrokraftwerk so you can get to frying Nazis.

How to get the Elektrokraftwerk

To get the Elektrokraftwerk weapon, simply start the mission to raid Brother 3. This will likely be the last of the Three Brothers you will raid, as they increase in difficulty. You won’t receive the gun at the start of this mission, it is instead collected part of the way through the level to the supercomputer.

The Elektrokraftwerk in Wolfenstein: Youngblood is available during Brother 3.

As you play through the Brother 3 mission, you will reach an area that is locked down. You must bypass this lock-down in order to continue. The way to do this is to fry some electronics that are preventing you from progressing. You will find the Elektrokraftwerk gun strapped to a testing bench, pointed at a target. Grab the gun and get to frying Nazis!

Beside the gun is an information computer. This computer details how the weapon is to be used. It can be used to break electronic circuits, which allows you to access hidden areas that contain various collectibles. It can also be used offensively against Nazi soldiers. The Elektrokraftwerk is best suited at taking down enemies with the thin, white bar armor. It is ineffective against Nazis with large block armor, so don’t shoot them with it until their armor is stripped away.

Now that you have unlocked the Elekrokraftwerk weapon in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you can start frying your enemies. Be sure to search around the levels for panels to shoot, as they often grant you access to secret areas containing valuable loot. For more Wolfenstein: Youngblood guides, keep it locked to Shacknews.
