Doom and Doom 2 mobile hit iOS and Android today

Two of the most iconic first-person shooters of all time are now available for mobile devices. Announced just earlier today at the QuakeCon 2019 keynote presentation, both Doom and Doom 2 have been given proper ports for iOS and Android phones, and both games are available to download and play starting today.

As can be seen in the new re-release trailer featured above, the announcement of Doom and Doom 2 on mobile devices coincides with the announcement of the first three Doom games on all modern consoles — the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and even the Nintendo Switch.

Both Doom and Doom 2 are available to download starting today through the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store, where they are priced at $4.99 each. Apparently neither game features any kind of in-app advertising or microtransactions, and the Google Play Store listing for Doom 2 indicates that the game includes the Master Levels as well as local four-player multiplayer and co-op. That's right, multiplayer remains intact on mobile devices.
