Discord just unveiled its newest feature, Server Folders, in an attempt to help keep you better organized on the popular chat platform.
These folders happen to be one of the most requested features on the program, and it can help you group servers together to better find them all in one place. It's been in the works for some time, apparently, and the final touches were put on to bring the feature to light during the company's 2019 Discord Hack Week.
Server Folders let you drag and drop server icons directly into folders that you can rename and color code according to your wishes. You can then dismiss notifications by folder if you choose, so you don't have to go down the line and do this manually. In addition, folder grouping is available for you to sync across browser, desktop, and mobile. That way just because you switch between apps, you don't have to worry about all your stuff getting jumbled up again.
This is just one of the newest features in Discord's ever-growing set of tools to help users keep their servers straight, channels color-coded and all in a row, and easily accessible. This is likely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to additional Discord augments the platform will eventually have, but for now it's a very cool housekeeping step for anyone who frequents a ton of servers.
