Wolfenstein: Youngblood is here and it’s full of cooperative goodness. Whether you’re using the Buddy Pass to introduce someone to the series or playing through with a long-time friend, you’ll need to know how to play co-op in Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Thankfully, the system in place is extremely easy to use and co-op works like a breeze.

How to play co-op

The process of setting up a co-op game in Wolfenstein: Youngblood is easy. You can host a game that a friend can join or even search for an available lobby. There are also settings to limit who can and cannot join your game, so be sure to select the privacy you desire.

To play Wolfenstein: Youngblood in co-op, simply invite a friend to your lobby once you start the game!

From the main menu:

  1. Select New Game or Continue Game
  2. Set up your character
  3. Choose Host a Game
  4. Click Invite and choose the friend you want to play with
  5. Once they accept, start the game

You may encounter a problem where the friend you want to invite isn’t online, but someone else is. There appears to be a glitch where your friend’s screen name may appear as someone else on your list. If this happens, simply invite the person listed on the invite list and your friend should receive it.

How the Buddy Pass works

The Buddy Pass is a special offer for any player who purchases the Deluxe Edition of Wolfenstein: Youngblood. This Buddy Pass allows you to play through the entire game in co-op without your friend buying a copy.

You can invite as many friends to play as you want, but you can only let one friend experience the fun at a time. To sweeten the deal further, your friend can upgrade to a full copy of the game and keep playing where they left off. All their leveling up, new abilities, and weapon upgrades will be transferred to the full game.

The only downside of the Buddy Pass is that the tag-along friend will not earn Trophies or Achievements on console. A small price to pay for getting to play Wolfenstein: Youngblood for free!

There are a lot of options when it comes to playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood. You can play through it entirely solo with an AI partner or you can bring a friend along. Now that you know how to play co-op in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you can focus on killing Nazis, liberating Paris, and saving BJ Blazkowicz.
