QuakeCon 2019 is right around the corner, and this year's event is themed around the Year of Doom. That's right, the two biggest juggernauts in FPS history will form the foundation for this year's QuakeCon, which will see several presentations and panels hosted by the top talents behind id Software games such as Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Rage 2, The Elder Scrolls, and more. QuakeCon 2019 | Schedule and notable panels

Liek with any good QuakeCon, this year's convention will be loaded with events, tournaments, guest appearances, developer interviews, and more. The full schedule of events can be found over on the official QuakeCon website, but for now, here are a few noteworthy details and panels worth mentioning.

QuakeCon is spread across four days, starting on Thursday, July 25 and ending on Sunday, July 28. Held in the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, the event will include panels from video game developers, tournaments for titles like QuakeWorld and Doom 2, plus the usual host of demos, food, entertainment, and more.

QuakeCon 2019 | Keynote date and time

QuakeCon 2019 keynote is scheduled for Friday, July 26 at 11 a.m. Central time. Directly after the keynote, event organizers will kick off the panel titled The Influence of Doom, where "an all-star lineup of Bethesda developers from MachineGames, Bethesda Game Studios, and id Software will discuss the impact of DOOM’s release 25 years ago on games and the video game industry."

As might be expected, fans who aren't available to attend QuakeCon 2019 in-person will be able to watch the keynote panel streamed live through QuakeCon.tv.

QuakeCon 2019 | Tickets and badges

Tickets to QuakeCon 2019 have been made available through Showclix. As things stand now, the $75 BYOC Passes are all sold out, though general admission tickets are still available for free.

For all attendees who have yet to receive their badge, badge pickup will be made available every day between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the main foyer.
